Alright, it’s basically December which means our workload has just tripled. School holidays, end-of-year fluff and…Christmas. I’m going to keep this speedy and super helpful because time is at a premium. Ha!
Something Handy
This one gets the top spot because it’s the only parenting hack I’ve got left for 2022. If your kid isn’t listening or needs a not-so-subtle nudge to behave, you can video call Santa and have a mock convo with the jolly man himself at any time.
There’s a heap of features like personalisation, naughty/nice lists and so on however, mine is used for empty threats only. LOL.
Something Yummy
You know all those BBQs, catch-ups and social events you’ve got coming up? Say you’ll bring dessert because this cake is impressive and SIMPLE! The recipe calls for you to make an actual ice-cream cake but at a pinch, you could grab a tub and pop it in a cake tin. Make it look homemade with the addition of fancy sprinkles or vanilla bean paste. Top it with Santa strawberries and you’ve got a winner!
Something Fun
Marie Claire has released their Christmas Movie Advent Calendar which challenges you to watch a festive film every day from the 1st to the 25th of December. This is a marathon I can get behind!
Old classics, new favourites and a hefty amount of time on the couch, what’s not to like?!
Something Sustainable
Wrapping presents is time-consuming and bad for the environment. Why not switch it up with reusable calico bags? Guaranteed to save your sanity on Christmas Eve and, they can be used over and over again.
Something Relatable
Finally, if you’re scratching your head wondering why life feels so darn overwhelming right now…you aren’t alone! Watch my POV on #MumLife in the lead-up to Christmas.
And since I’m always one with a simple solution at hand, why not get all of that mental clutter outta your head and onto one of our planners?! Guaranteed to calm your mind and hopefully, help you delegate some of that list!
However you’re spending the big day, I hope it’s full of good times and free of drama. Make sure you carve out space for you to enjoy the season too!
